Studio Athenos is a Jaipur-based architecture practice led by Ar. Rahul Saxena, specialising in hospital design and healthcare infrastructure across Rajasthan. The studio has spent over seven years designing medical facilities that function under the real demands of clinical practice — managing patient flow, controlling infection risk, separating service and staff circulation, and meeting the regulatory standards that govern healthcare construction in India.
Healthcare facilities across Rajasthan — in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Bikaner, Alwar, Bharatpur, Sikar, and smaller cities across the state — face a common challenge: designing for high footfall, limited land, and tight budgets without compromising clinical function or patient dignity. Studio Athenos designs for exactly this context. Each project begins with the operational brief — how many OPDs will run simultaneously, where emergency access lands in relation to pharmacy and imaging, how ICUs and operating theatres are zoned away from public movement.
Among completed projects, Balaji Cure & Care Hospital on Sirsi Road, Jaipur — a NABH-compliant multi-speciality facility completed in 2025 — is one example of this approach, documented as a case study on our healthcare page. The studio has also designed diagnostic centres, specialist clinics, and advanced medical infrastructure including LINAC bunker architecture — radiation-shielded rooms for Linear Accelerators used in cancer treatment, compliant with AERB guidelines. This is a technical specialisation held by very few architecture practices in Rajasthan.
