“A hospital is a machine that works silently — a place of rest and recovery, but above all, a place of hope.”

Scalability · Integrated services & resilience · Medical zoning & human control · Technology-ready environment · Environmental & operational sustainability — the pillars of a future-ready hospital.

ABOUT THE STUDIO

Hospital architecture is the centre of the practice: multi-speciality hospitals, radiotherapy and cancer-care facilities, diagnostic buildings, and complex clinical programmes — designed around performance, clinical control, and how a building works over decades.

Beyond the hospitals, the studio carries a deep body of residential, interior, and institutional work — homes shaped with the same spatial intelligence, interiors built to live in for years rather than photograph once, and institutional spaces that hold their purpose over time. The same discipline that makes a hospital work runs through every one of them: nothing decorative for its own sake, every decision earning its place.

Ar. Rahul Saxena — Principal Architect & Founder

20 years of building
spaces that feel.

Studio Athenos was founded in Jaipur in 2007 by Ar. Rahul Saxena, IGBC Accredited Professional. The practice works on one conviction: a hospital is decided in its plan — how it controls infection, carries its loads, and supports recovery are settled long before it opens, and they decide what the building costs to run for the rest of its life. Everything the studio designs follows from that.

What our clients say

When we decided to build Balaji Cure & Care as a 150-bed multispecialty hospital on Sirsi Road, our biggest concern was getting the clinical zoning right for NABH from day one. Ar. Rahul Saxena and his team at Studio Athenos delivered exactly what we needed. They don’t just draw plans — they understand how a hospital actually operates. The way they integrated our ICU, CCU, and NICU with the OTs and CATH lab has made patient transfer incredibly smooth. Even during peak hours handling RGHS and Ayushman beneficiaries, the outpatient flow never clashes with emergency movements. Earning our NABH accreditation in 2025 felt seamless because the infrastructure was already fully compliant. Highly recommend Studio Athenos to any healthcare group looking for an architect who truly speaks the language of doctors and administrators.

We built our cancer care facility in Bikaner — LINAC bunker, PET scan, gamma camera — with Ar. Rahul of Studio Athenos. The difficult parts, the shielding and AERB requirements, were sorted at the drawing stage itself, so nothing held us up at commissioning. He understands how a cancer hospital runs, not just how to build one.
